2009 Malawi Trip
In the Summer of 2009 Songs for Saplings is working on a Chichewa translation of "Questions with Answers: Volume One".
Because you all provided for our trip to Zambia and Malawi last year, a new work has begun for Africa. We give thanks for you often and rejoice with you over what God is doing through your partnership with Songs for Saplings!
Songs for Saplings has sponsored a translation project in Malawi to translate "Questions with Answers: Volume One, God and Creation" in the local, native language of Chichewa. Although English is the official language in Malawi, Chichewa is spoken by over 9 million people in the region, and is the primary language that children there speak. A team of students at African Bible College in Lilongwe, Malawi is translating "God and Creation", and Dana Dirksen will bring a small team to join them in August to record Chichewa native speakers singing the new translation!
